i was so sex and the city tonight. i went out for drinks with coworkers. i was strictly on the ginger beer. i'd learnt my lesson well.


i talked to boys about various boring things and found them oh so amusing. and i smiled lots. and text messaged and tried to find other engagements just to assert my popularity on wellington's social scene. which was so unnecessary because i was at a table with people who love me.

then i went to shed five. i walked along the waterfront alone and felt so empowered. when i got there i told some woman that my ideal man was fifty, greying with a moustache. she found me one at the next table and made me give him my number (it was fake, but he knew that). note to self: some people do not get my unique sense of humour.

then dancing. and about time too. this week was all about dance. however the dancing was at dockside which is basically a meat market. i met noel who, it turns out, works with hrc. and thinks she's great. he couldn't say anything else. hrc is my best friend and one of the keys to being so sex and the city right now is having best friends. i also met mr44. he asked me and my companion if we were at university. i just about pashed him right there. he said he was thinking of studying science. but then he said lots of things. mr44 had drank a bit by the time i was talking to him.

then i went to kenny's. this time no fights. just gossiping. and talking about work (yawn) and boys (triple yawn but also, hello, OBVIOUSLY). and we got icecream. and i got a taxi home and here i am.
