here is another home truth... i'm awesome. firstly, i live the kind of life where you can wake up in gisborne and lie in bed until after eight thirty on a tuesday morning. and where i get to be kissed on the cheek by a variety of older men at hour intervals throughout the day. and where i get to sit in the east coast sun drinking coffee before boarding a plane to wellington where i get my awesomeness independently verified.
how was my awesomeness independently verified? two words: quiz night. how about another two words: first place.tonight the milton bradley players (my quiz team of two) beat all comers in an epic battle for a fifty dollar bar tab*. do you KNOW how many two dollar milkshakes that is? heaps.
this description of my day barely scratches the surface, but i have an episode of grey's anatomy to watch before i retire for the evening so i simply do NOT have the time to list the ways in which i am in love with myself right now.
*note, success factors include music recognition, barriers to even greater success included lack of history knowledge and failure to see every boy movie ever made.

yes i took the photo. in the weekend. while playing trivial pursuits in the botanic gardens. it was perfection. especially since i won.
