inspired by a coworker, these are the days of my life...

today i went to a meeting in dorkland. it was an okay meeting. but the worst part was that i went to dorkland for two meetings but the first one it seemed i wasn't needed at. in the end. grump. but because i see the silver lining of every cloud i took my frown, turned it upside down. and went to the nearest mall to get a manicure.

it was my first every mani. it was nice. indulgent and unnecessary perhaps. but kickass? ab-so-lutely.

at the mall i also checked out womens shirts and ties. to see if i'm ready to be completely kickass (as an aside someone found my blog using the search term "hottie ties". that's me. i thought). it turns out, due to cost barriers (ie way too spendy), i am not ready. honestly. who knew ties were *that* expensive?

although frankly, i'm saving money at the moment. how? through pocketing stuff from faceless corporations. so far in the last twenty four hours i have acquired:

** one bottle of ginger ale and two bottles of soda water from the qantas club
** two mandarins from the qantas club
** two little UHT milk packages from qantas (the flight) because my flatmate and i keep running out of milk and fighting over who should be forced to walk to the dairy to get more
** a pear and another two mandarins from the waipuna convention centre

at this rate i will never have to buy groceries again. supporting my new found love of paying someone else to paint my nails. GENIUS.

I went to a Maths Teacher conference at Waipuna earlier in the year. Nice place, that.

I now have a class set of Waipuna notepads and 25 matching pens. Yay for free stuff. :)

I was given an "I (heart) the Hutt" badge the other day, just like your Island Bay one. Rock on!

You gotta love ties to go a buy nice new one. This seasons ties from both Working Style and Man to Man are fantastic. But at $150 and up I'll only get one this season.

I suggest you go second hand or borrow some from your bloglings.

fish: i really like waipuna. the lagoon. the bircher muesli. the pens.

d3vo and erin: i'm currently inspired. i need to knit me a tie. but maybe i will also go to st vincent's on saturday and see if they have any nice ones for me.

and emertron: actually that is the best bit. the hand rubbing. i didn't even know that was part of the deal. worth the $15 in itself really.
