last night i watched the rugby. about four o'clock yesterday afternoon, after being at work for about twenty minutes (!) and then going to a cafe for cake, i rang my parents and announced my intentions to go home for dinner. and guess what: everyone else in my family had already made the same announcement. i went home and got cuddles from ryles. and lay in front of their heater safe in the knowledge there would be no mice. and then when the rugby started i sat next to my dad and fell asleep. and it was like i was nine again. and i noted that that was both comforting and a little odd.
here is ryles:
anyway the hurricanes won. but not by much i think. as already mentioned i fell asleep so didn't exactly watch it diligently.
what i am watching diligently, right now, is agenda. i hate agenda. but it is on. so i'm watching it. and there is a piece on mr india new zealand. reow. before that there was an interview with the PM talking about fostering new zealand identity. i nearly vomited on my lap top. which is a bit ironic given that i was fully buying in to the nz identity last night with my rugby watching and my whanau aroha.
maybe, we should change our national anthem to i'm a k 1 w 1 because that is the best new zealand song ever. not sure whether it is on the nature cds or not but i'm guessing not. because the rights would probably cost way too much.
inspired by a coworker, these are the days of my life...
