inspired by a coworker, these are the days of my life...

i got home ten minutes ago and had to immediately make a cup of tea and toast. it is the best toast of all time. and the tea is the most thirst quenching and comforting of all time.

at five yesterday afternoon i started with beer. delcious mexican beer. i feel like i'm in mexico. even though i don't know what that feels like. i have a very active imagination.

i get manic when i know i have a challenge looming. the challenge being karaoke. in this instance.

then i ate japanese food. i like octopus meatballs. i don't like calpis. i like my friends. i love my friends. i love karaoke. my friends don't love karaoke. half of the posse go home.

i convince two others to stay with me. and we drink this stuff:

and we talk to strangers. when did the bar become so godamned friendly? we had a spare seat at our booth and every time one random male stranger asking us to duet left the seat vacant, another would fill it. asking us to duet. we never did.

we did steal these boys song though.

although they are rocking out to sweet child o' mine, they had improbably picked bette davis eyes as their karaoke number. it is AL's favourite song of all time. and the boys had tired of karaoke. so they let us sing it for them.

i have lots of great shots of my singing buddy, but am reluctant to put up photos of her without consent. so, instead, here i am. singing bette davis eyes. i am so into it ...

i was also into a taxi shortly after this photo was taken. and shortly after this moment i will be into a deep sleep. and then around midday i hope to surface again and i will wash three weeks worth of laundry and drink coffee in the sun and make a special dessert for hels. lucky hels.
