** note: i sort of flirted the jeremy, the coffee man (point 3). but sort of didn't at the same time. since i have no intentions. just good will towards him and his superior coffee skills. and AA weren't there to help me out.
now, i've sung my share of karaoke. my most memorable performance was singing "that don't impress me much" when out on the town with my friend and my cousin. only to find, once i was up on stage, that my brother was in the audience too. i could see him laughing. i was so shame - cos i didn't know the words and my voice, well, let me down - that i left immediately afterwards, but i heard from the others that i shouldn't have. my brother followed me on stage with a rousing version of bohemian rhapsody where he sang all of the parts. the performance of his lifetime.
my other most memorable karaoke memory involves singing 'don't stop moving' while drinking some kind of green drink purchased for me by a then new found, and now long time, friend. years later said friend and i sang 'cos i got high' at a work function not realising that the song is actually quite sexual. made the work funciton that much more fun though.
anyway, when i wake up tomorrow i will play a bunch of rockin' songs to help me out of bed and i will sing along loud and proud to get me in a karaoke state of mind. wish me luck.

Once you've asked the name &/or occupation, what do you do? Are you compiling a database -- "Name &/or occupation of people I feel inclined to accost"?
You ought to acquire a batch of small trial size items to compensate each one with something at the end. "Here, have this tube of Prell as our way of saying thanks."
