when i was in taupo today someone asked me if "this" (gesturing to my awesome outfit) was the latest fashion in wellington. i said i hoped so, cos i was very fashion conscious. the conversation went down hill from there.

on another note taupo was wonderful today. i had good coffee and managed to buy my mother a birthday present all in the same shop. i can't remember now what else was marvellous about it. but something was, i'm sure.

tomorrow i am on leave, but only so that i can go to a meeting about public health. in my spare time. i ask you, what is wrong with me. i have about a hundred pages of memos to read before nine tomorrow morning and i have convinced myself i'll be ready to do that once i watch another episode of grey's anatomy season two. which is what i will do right about... now.
