there is also a sixteen sheet set with envelopes AND STICKERS that currently has my affection.
alternatively i could move to the US of A. reasons for me doing this are as follows:
1. i already have the badge
2. if i were in the US of A i would have more reason for correspondence and therefore stationery*, and
3. there is great stationery in the US of A. at least if the internet is anything to go by (and of course the internet is the truth, so it is basically settled)**
there are of course the other reasons for a move to the US of A. i could study or move closer to where all the matrimony of people i know seems to take place. plus, hello, i'm going to be in the US of A in september anyway, i could save money on the return airfare by not returning. but i think above all good stationery is the primary reason one would want to move to the US of A. god bless the US of A indeed.

*i would write to you but i probably don't know your address. if you give it to me i will write you a handsome letter.
** my actual fave stationery that involves cute animals doing cute things, like knitting, is actually a new zealand brand of stationery but they quote in US dollars because they know where the stationery market is, obviously. so a move stateside will not impact on my access to the very cutest stationery in the world.

Are you referring to nutandbee.com stationary? I only wish I ever wrote letters and therefore had use for it!
i do mean nutandbee but i don't like to publicise it too much cos i want to buy it for everyone or open a store where people can buy it. i'm ridiculous that way.
Ahh fair enough, I only said it cos the girl who makes it is an interweb friend of mine.
maybe we should write each other again. i actually have a whole ton of stationary just sitting there waiting to be used.
joanna: i want to be best friends with ms nut and bee! how did you become internet friends?
and jessica: yes, let's!
Well when we became internet friends it was the end of 1998 and you could count all the people in NZ with online journals on two hands, pretty much. But nowadays you could comment on her livejournal? http://annettle.livejournal.com/
Greetings, and happy Waitangi Day. It seems like the last one was just last year.
Sorry I have evaporated over the past half-year. I was enjoying King Kapisi on your CD in the car the other day and felt bad about this. (There is a whole story about that CD and the criminality of international corporations that I'll get into at some other time, but just in the meantime switch brands of CDs.)
So regarding the US and A, you really need to just wear that badge at immigration whe you deplane and you'll be all set. No passport, no visa. Just point at the badge and wink.
It's how we know people are alright here -- do you want God to bless America, or don't you? If the former, then publicly call for such a blessing.
Well, please feel free to ask for more tips on United States customs. Regarding stationery, we do have some of the finest. It's just useless if you're like me and don't bother writing to anyone anymore.
Hope you're enjoying the summer. It's dangerously cold here, but it was short-sleeve weather at the beginning of January so no one's complaining.
*pete* you're still alive on the internet. how great. also thanks for the hot tip on wearing the badge. i will be sure to do so. could you also give me tips on where to get the best stationery? and what new york will be like in september when i visit?
