this year i went as a hula girl. kissed every man on the cheek. flirted with the girls too - cos, you know, why not - and danced up a storm and not even tragically. but like i was having the time of my life. yes it's true.

and i owe it all to elton john. he put me in the right frame of mind. it's like his new song says: cross the bridge or fade away. so i crossed the bridge and was brighter than ever.
after the party, i wasn't heened (hello, world first) and couldn't much put up with the cowoes. so i went to bar bodega to see the proxies play. the proxies are a pixies cover band. and their here comes your man rocked my world. i didn't dance though cos i had a great seat at the bar where i was eating a pie for energy. plus it provided me with a great view of a bunch of my new favourite type of boy: angular franz ferdinand types who dance stiffly. i was in love.
i didn't try particularly hard to wash the stamp from bar bodega off my wrist this morning so my team at work could see how i can work a full day and rock and roll all night. noone noticed. probably because they were all hung over and falling asleep. so i fired them all. okay, that last part is a lie. for a bunch of tired individuals we crossed the bridge and didn't fade away. sir elton would have been very proud.
