my concept of a celebri-tree is a world first. but celebrities have been encapsulating the christmas spirit for some time now.

proof: band aid.

there was a documentary on tele tonight about the making of do they know it's christmas. i was meant to be out for christmas drinks, but obviously i found a way to get home in time. who needs to socialise when you can watch outtakes from 1984 including boy george teasing george michael about being gay.

although the documentary was near perfect the low light was they didn't play THE song the whole way through.

so i imagined it, repeatedly.

tomorrow i will try to get my co-woes to sing it with me. i will opt to do the entire first verse if needs be, cos i know all the words. and in particular will emphasise the lines that simon le bon sang (there's a world outside your window. and it's a world of dread and fear...) through to bono's hometruth (well tonight thank god it's them, instead of you). and we can harmonise the feed the wooooorld part. and feel our social consciences be comforted.

god bless celebrities at christmas. Posted by Picasa
