the second thing i have to say is check out the scarf. made by my own self. i am a crochet genius. a week and a half ago i didn't know how to crochet. tonight i made crochet square's while wearing the completed scarf and watching run, of run dmc fame, teach his kids about the birds and the bees. disturbarama by the way. teaching seven year olds about sex put me off my fruit toast.
while i may be a supermodel and a knitter i also realised today that i am the world's most disorganised person. i missed a friend's thirtieth birthday party on saturday because i thought it was this coming saturday. this, like losing my passport, suggests that i have a problem. other warning signs include regularly double booking myself and having two hundred and ninety unread emails.
on the upside i have decided to return to keeping in touch with friends via real life mail. sparked by two things: AL reminding me i'm a bad pen pal and the zoo (of all places) stocking the greatest stationery of all time. if you want me to write you, let me know. lena: that i'm writing you is a given.

ooh ooh ooh i simply cannot wait! i don't deserve it though. i believe i haven't even thanked you for my last real-life-mail parcel which i have sitting right next to me on my desk and i LOVE. i will spend next few weeks finding appropriate stationery for the reply of the century.
i just got back from boston to california and - what do you know, the weather is *still* perfect. nuts.
the scarf is great. and worth more than five dollars. if you send me something jessica i can get your address and maybe you will get a crochet surprise.
