tonight i tried the new malaysian place in newtown.

it was delicious.

i was going to go to the supermarket and buy groceries. for the first time in weeks. but during the walk home my resolved weakened and i found myself ordering rendang and roti.

did i mention it was delicious.

i happened to be walking past because i had walked a friend to a salsa class. he and his wife are being fully middle aged and reinvigorating their marriage through dance. i wondered if it was like richard gere in the god-awful movie shall we dance. he didn't get the reference. which surprised me because hello that movie was made for the middle aged. as was i. i keep thinking: bring on middle age. then i can be a booze hound and dance up a storm at the establishment before crossing the road to hummingbird where i can find myself a nice divorced man to sleep with on a friday night. and then find some young friends to tell about it so that they think i'm a hip young thing like them. it will be awesome. then again i could just be a hip young thing. but sometimes i worry that i don't know how. Posted by Picasa
