i had the time of my life tonight. i got to hang out and knit with people. and eat food at sweet mother's kitchen. (strictly speaking i should be off sweet mother's because it was on the sunday star times what's hot list. and that list usually enrages me. however, since me and strongerlight discovered the place i can't bring myself to hate it - even with its association with that sunday trashpaper.)

anyway we knitted.
although not all of us. some did the crochet. some just ate. some drank wine. some were notably absent. including hels and our favourite lampshade maker. i'll call him lampy for now.

i actually sort of finished something.

i made a tea cosie. or is it cosey. whatever. i made it. completed. is not it handsome? i made up the pattern and everything and it seems to be perfectly functional. i might sell it on trademe. or in some cute store where they appreciate one off, handmade, amazement. and cups of tea. to appreciate this you really really need to appreciate cups of tea. i appreciate cups of tea. in fact, i'd appreciate one right now if someone made one for me.
