i am about to head to the cross for the first quiz in months and months and months. will i remember anything? actually, how did we win for all those weeks in a row a few years ago? we must have had an angel at our table.

anyway, wish me luck. momma needs a new bar tab.

ADDED A FEW HOURS LATER

wow, the cross has turned flash. years ago, when the quiz team CWTs used to go and win week after week, the quiz was hosted by duncan (upon whom i had a crush) and it was smokey and cold and loud and smokey. today, it was flash and brown leather and organ music. and no duncan.

tonight hrc and i finally got the others to agree to a new team name: kate's bush. best. quiz. team. name. ever.

and i got supa fly and pusherman mixed up. but my knowledge of songlyrics remains almost unbeatable. they had me though when they asked what colour the pills in the song mothers little helper were. but i would have got it right because i know what the song is about and how those pills are yellow.

and we were expecting to come about fifth because we weren't on form and we hadn't quizzed for a while. but guess what:
