even though i swear black and blue that friendster is just a way to meet cool people like *pete* and more widely disseminate my self portraits, the fact that i get lots of messages from boys in malaysia wanting to message me suggests that others see friendster as having another role.

today a boy messaged me. he describes himself as "a humble good looking young man, romantic, caring and polite"

hello, he has no chance with me. obviously. if only i was interested in humble good looking young men who are caring and polite. plus, there is the distinct possibility that he is not young, goodlooking, a boy, romantic, caring or polite. he could even be a total dilly.



what's a dilly? pleased that you asked. today my boss introduced me to the word dilly. and i just about DIED laughing. she described herself as a dilly. and i was like what's a dilly? but didn't have to actually ask because she told us. "a dilly!" she said "it's a female version of a dick". i just about DIED. i couldn't breathe. i was struggling. i had tears in my eyes. and i was trying to not look like a ten year old. the person next to me, my new cowoe and long time friend, found it AS if not MORE hilarious than i did. and he was struggling too. and everyone else seemed oblivious to how funny what she was saying was (unintentionally funny that is). and i had to get a drink of water to calm down and text message him, even though he was sitting right next to me, to let him know that dilly is my NEW FAVOURITE WORD.

obviously i've now done a google image search of 'dilly'. the images above are all in the top twenty five dilly images. but my favourite is this, for perhaps obvious and certainly childish reasons:

anyway now my street thinks i'm nuts (more nuts) because i walked home tonight laughing at the concept of a dilly. man oh man. it's like what blur sung in the nineteen nineties... the mind gets dirty... as you get closer... to thirty.
