today i decided to treat myself to new beads.

the picture is of me wearing them standing beside my christmas tree. my goodness i look flat chested. which i'm not, hello.

the beads are to match my new shoes (i know, i recently bought four pairs, it is hardly like i need another) . they are a key ingredient for an outfit i plan to debut at my friend's wedding on sunday. while people should be looking at the bride, most will probably be looking at me and my AWESOME colour coordination. i will try to remind people that it is "their day" and that they should give them some of the attention. "afterall, they are the ones funding all this champagne", is what i will say. but it will be fruitless as all day and night i will have to explain how i was just born this fashion conscious.

and anyway, MY big day is tomorrow. it is the office christmas party. it is a rather reserved affair lasting from three thirty to six thirty with light refreshments. there is no theme. So i'm thinking i will go as a flamingo, or as a fairy. an awesome suggestion from a knitting buddy and colleague was to go as a christmas present. I'm very keen on the idea. at the very least, it will provide an excellent start to conversation. "Hi, I'm a christmas present. Care to unwrap me?"...
