oh help!

A friend who i met for an evening cup of tea had just been to the library to get this book out....

John Gray will always remind me of watching oprah after law lectures. I thought it was bollocks then, and I think it is bollocks now. However, there were a couple of pearls of wisdom.

For example:

Men think that the way to score points with women is to do big things, for example if you buy a car for a chick that will get you lots of points and if you buy say flowers that will get you a few points. This is to do with them being martians.

Women, on the other hand, see all gifts as having equal weight. a car = one point. a bunch of flowers = one point. ergo, a car = a bunch of flowers. It is to do with having a touch of venus i think.

I'm not sure that I agree, and even if i did i would still be rational enough to see that a car is in fact worth more than flowers so would prefer the car thank you very much.

Another example, taken from Dr Gray, is that women can score between ten and fifty points with a man for not gloating when the man does something wrong. and can score between ten and forty points for enjoying intimacy. i'm not sure if there is a target amount of points to aim for, say 100, but frankly, its sounding a bit too close to dungeons and dragons for my liking.
