hot or not lists are so lame. which is why i'm addicted to them.

going up:

naughty nail polish. seriously, my new red black nail polish is called naughty. i feel like such a vamp.

going down:

french manicures. ew. the white nail part makes me want to snap your nails. see, it is so going down it turns me violent. and i'm peace loving.

going up:

scrabble.

going down:

the euphoria associated with winning a quiz. last week i just about passed out i was so happy. this week i took the prize like money ain't a thing and barely celebrated. but i was happy. just less happy. like when companies report profits that are pretty good, just not AS good as last quarter. that's my current feeling.

going up:

joshua jackson

going down:

any movie without a former dawsons creek star.

going up:

taupo. i'm about to visit for the third time this year. it is basically my home away from home.

going down:

cafes in taupo. when breakers is amongst the best on offer you are in serious serious serious trouble. seriously.

going up:

pod. the staff are flirty and business like in the right ways.

going down:

sweet mothers kitchen and the methods they use when someone has booked a table. i watched gordon ramsay on tele tonight and he just about fired someone for not planning table bookings better. smk have a thing or two to learn from gordo.

going up:

waist lines, but not in a good way. high waisted skirts and pants, you are so very unflattering.

going down:

my energy levels. i think it is time for bed.

here is a home truth. it is important to take a giant bite out of life.

here is another home truth... i'm awesome. firstly, i live the kind of life where you can wake up in gisborne and lie in bed until after eight thirty on a tuesday morning. and where i get to be kissed on the cheek by a variety of older men at hour intervals throughout the day. and where i get to sit in the east coast sun drinking coffee before boarding a plane to wellington where i get my awesomeness independently verified.

how was my awesomeness independently verified? two words: quiz night. how about another two words: first place.

tonight the milton bradley players (my quiz team of two) beat all comers in an epic battle for a fifty dollar bar tab*. do you KNOW how many two dollar milkshakes that is? heaps.

this description of my day barely scratches the surface, but i have an episode of grey's anatomy to watch before i retire for the evening so i simply do NOT have the time to list the ways in which i am in love with myself right now.

*note, success factors include music recognition, barriers to even greater success included lack of history knowledge and failure to see every boy movie ever made.

tonight, instead of finishing a presentation, i took the full house quiz. the quiz is one of two [very] lame special features on the season two dvd.

anyway - surprise surprise - i aced the quiz. this is no achievement, the quiz was clearly for children. simple children at that. if the question involved uncle joey the answer was popeye. there was no mention of how you oughta know was about david coulier. which straight away ruined the quiz for me.
there are also no questions about how hot john stamos is post haircut (answer: without the mullet he is H.O.T to the power of infinity) or references to how uncle jesse's surname changed between the first and second seasons. actually there was only one john stamos question and the answer was wrong (they said he gave up the extermination business for his music career but MORE accurately he gave it up to go work in advertising - although i guess jingle writing is still music).

in other news i'm going to christchurch tomorrow. it was next to impossible to get a flight or a hotel down that way. what the heck is up with christchurch this weekend?
