wow. i still remember my blogger log in. its been over a week. my memory powers are amazing.

is anyone else simply exhausted? or is it just me? whatever it is, the sound of music and pyjamas midweek sounds like the perfect cure. the fact that i will probably get presents and to see my nephews is just icing on an already sweet cake. bring on the 25th.

no kidding even seeing this on youtube makes me a bit teary it is so wonderful

plus my secret bonus gift to my family is singstar. so basically i'm the best sister ever.

also, you owe me since i'm giving you this treasure....

clearly this is amazing, but then at 1.20 POW and then at 3.34 breasts.

oh falco! you old heartbreaker.

so over the past few weeks i've done heaps that i meant to tell you about. i've:
  • seen high school musical three and fallen in loooove.
  • seen the new bond movie, quantum of solace, and fallen in looooove.
  • watched highlights of oprah's twenty year career as a talkshow queen.
  • had too many cocktails
  • eaten a lot of fancy food at expensive restaurants, not all of it excellent (you know who you are bisque on bolton)
  • lied to the people's coffee people about who i voted for in the TAWAs (although this was a genuine mistake because i (now) remember that i was torn between two options)
  • had a tearful farewell for one of my favourite colleagues
  • exprienced some highs, some lows
  • become the victim of credit card fraud
  • decorated my low key christmas grotto, and reinstated my diana queen of hearts tree
  • had brunch in paekakariki
  • listened to last christmas on my ipod about eight times
  • had numerous phone calls with my excited nephew who is counting sleeps until santa, and
  • ordered groceries on line.
the fun never stops. anyway, where are my pyjamas. i need to go into training for my traditional christmas night sound of music indulgence....

tonight, when i drunk my nine dollar cosmopolitans from concrete i felt so freakin' happy. that is what happens when you mix liquor and great ideas. the great ideas are still top secret, unlike my adoration of cranberry juice. adoration that has been with me since back in the day. when matterhorn was a hip new place and i could sit on a glass of cranberry juice for a good two hours. it is amazing how well you can pace yourself when you're actually destitute.

anway, just as well my evening involved liquor because my nerves a still a bit delicate. my office - ie the place i spend 4o hours a week - has mice. wonderful. today i had to get someone in my team to move a box under my desk because i'd convinced myself it was the nest. i am so irrational about this that actually i have to stop the description of my crazy tactics today because otherwise i wont be able to sleep. my imagination is what one might call overactive.

the first mouse spotted on my floor came out of the womens toilets yesterday. naturally i exclusively use the unisex disability access toilet now. but only after i turn on the light and stomp around a bit. today i felt a little more comfortable as i spotted the first of the bait boxes. is there a more joyous site than a bait box, be it a plastic semi circle or a cardboard rectangle? not according to this girl.

actually i'm ending this post now so i can go and watch something happy before bed. like something from this website. or cruz beckham breakdancing to the spice girls. anything to take my thoughts of my thermal socks at work being a comfy bed for a rodent predator.

oh my god, management is such a dream career. i am just so enjoying it right now. while i would struggle to identify ONE THING that was my very FAVOURITE THING about this rewarding career i would have to acknowledge the importance of good people to a job well done.

one of the good things about people is how they just really reinforce your feeling of self worth when they give you helpful hints and tips. like when your staff take you aside to tell you you dress like a whore. WOAH. talk about life affirming. or when they question your understanding of the like, law, about being a manager. or when they take more than their alloted sick leave and tell you that you are being pedantic when you suggest maybe they should see a freakin' doctor in case they have like the plague or something. or bird flu.

anyway, after days of triumph i'm sick of all the tears (of joy). hopefully tomorrow i can have my feet on the ground long enough to look for new jobs on the internet.
